According to Taiwanese national development council’s deputy director Shih Ko-Hir (???), who gave a presentation on the strategic overview of Taiwan’s public infrastructure fund this year, indicated that the council had budgeted 610 billion (New Taiwan Dollar) to fund public infrastructure in 2021, which is approximately 105 billion larger than that in 2020.

The council highlighted the project of Taoyuan Aerotropolis, saying which alone would account for 50 billion, followed by other major projects such as the project to construct the third terminal for Taoyuan Airport, the project to construct the new route for Taipei MRT, and Hsinchu Science Park’s expansion for TSMC. These ambitious projects are located in northern Taiwan.

Taiwan’s prime minister Su (???) has urged the government at each level to make sure that the budget will be truly injected into the market to support the economic growth this year.
